Grok Chat

Grok Chat

Grok is xAI's conversational model family, built around real-time context, direct answers, and strong science and coding reasoning. The Grok 4 series on FuseAITools runs on the OpenAI Responses protocol, takes documents and images as input, and lets you switch deep thinking on or off per message. Use Grok on FuseAITools for research-style Q&A, code review, and unfiltered brainstorming.

Features

Core capabilities

Real-time conversation: Answers framed around current events, technical releases, and fast-moving topics, with a direct style that avoids hedging.

Reasoning and analysis: Step-by-step decomposition of science, math, and product questions; trade-off comparison; assumption checking.

Code work: Implementation from description, review for bugs and security, refactoring suggestions, and explanation of unfamiliar codebases.

Context input: Attach documents and images in the chat; text files are read into the prompt, images go in as multimodal blocks.

Model tiers on FuseAITools

grok-4-5, grok-4-6, and grok-4-7 are all available under Model selection and share the same token pricing structure (249 credits per 1M input tokens, 741 per 1M output tokens).

Deep thinking is a per-message switch. Turning it off asks the channel for the light tier; turning it on requests the deep tier, at the cost of a slower first token.

Channel limits worth knowing

No server-side web search: the Grok chat channel exposes only function-style tools, so there is no search toggle and search cost is never added to your bill.

No visible reasoning stream: this channel does not return thinking text to callers, so the Reasoning panel stays empty even with deep thinking enabled—the model still reasons, you just do not see the trace.

Thinking tiers are low / medium / high / xhigh; anything outside that list is rejected by the server before the call is billed.

Use cases

Research and explainer work: dig into a technical topic, compare options, and get the assumptions spelled out.

Development: prototype code, review a diff, debug an error message, migrate between frameworks.

Writing and editing: drafts with a blunt editorial voice, structure critique, headline and copy variants.

Learning: worked solutions with intermediate steps, concept summaries, quiz-style recall.

Best practices

State the constraint set early (language, version, performance target, style) so the first answer is already close.

Turn deep thinking on only for the messages that need it—everyday lookups are faster on the light tier.

Attach the source document instead of paraphrasing it; the channel reads files into context directly.

Ask for the reasoning chain in prose when you need to audit an answer, since the thinking stream is not returned.

Try Grok Chat on FuseAITools

Grok Chat on FuseAITools brings xAI's direct, real-time conversational style into the same credits account as your image, audio, and video tools. Start a conversation, switch deep thinking on for the hard questions, and keep the whole thread in one history.
